This recipe is the all-time meal I have cooked in my crockpot. I dearest Thai flavours and this curry was bursting with them! I like a trivial heat in my nutrient but my hubby does non, and so I omitted the chili peppers and I don't use peanut oil and so that was left out every bit well. There was plenty heat in the cerise back-scratch paste to add together some zing, but even my husband didn't heed because the sense of taste was then astonishing. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. To make certain I got all of the browned bits out of my frying pan, I deglazed it using the beefiness goop and added that to the pot as well. I would also recommend breaking up the beefiness in one case it'south cooked to a more "shredded" consistency. That'south easy considering it's falling apart anyhow! That style you can contain more of the sauce as yous spoon it over the rice. We liked this so much that I take just finished putting all the ingredients in the pot to serve to dinner guests this night. I was frustrated trying to detect a recipe for beefiness that was not a stew or pot roast. This turned out better than I had expected and will now be my "get to" meal when I desire to serve something especially good and a piffling different. Thank you lot for the recipe!

Hands-down the BEST deadening cooker meal I've ever made! For an even more than fragrant dish, I sauteed the onion and garlic in coconut oil and used coconut oil instead of peanut oil in the sauce. I also thickened it at the end with a footling corn starch. So delightful - so tender!!

Really really bland made every bit written. It needed lots of jazzing upwards with more than lime juice, sambal oelek, and salt. I steamed some vegetables and threw them in and that was nice. Would make again merely with above additions.

We really really enjoyed this recipe. I did add extra salt from the get get (seasoned the meat) and ended up adding a impact more again after tasting. Also, browned the meat in the oil instead of adding it to the crockpot. After the changes I remember it was definitely a 5 to my gustatory modality. Next time I might flour the meat to help thicken the sauce (did a slurry at the end this time). Some drizzled sriracha over the top for extra rut!

I followed this recipe exactly except I left out the jalepenos considering I was feeding this to my xviii month old. My husband and I love Thai nutrient and eating out, then this recipe seemed groovy considering it was elementary. This is nothing like what you'd become at a Thai eating house. It was pretty bland and non really flavorful at all (I used Thai Kitchen red curry paste). This is more like something my mother-in-law from the midwest would consider an exotic Thai dish. It tasted fine overall and was edible, but I wouldn't call it Thai. This would crave major tweaking for me to brand once again.
08/06/2017
This was succulent and easy! I will certainly arrive again.
02/21/2018
I liked it and my husband and son liked it (more than than me), but it didn't taste anything close to Thai food. It was like Irish Stew meets Thailand because information technology was and then stew and meatly similar. I would only go far again because my family unit enjoyed it.

Most fabulous beef teriyaki I've ever had ! I made a number of alterations to the recipe using more than simple ingredients I had on hand . It did not take the full amount of fourth dimension recommended . Simply well-nigh six hours on though he in the crockpot . I did non add whatever hot spicy things like jalapeños and I dumped in more than chocolate-brown carbohydrate then was recommended . I dredged the beef in a combination of flour curry and table salt and v Chinese spice blend before Browning . My beef teriyaki was plenty thick and super savory . I ended upward watering it down significantly to become the right. Consistency . Since I don't have coconut milk I used extra beef broth and a half cup of old shredded coconut I institute in my baking closet. It seemed the other three reviews mentioned that the flavor was not as potent equally they would similar and that it was likewise watery then I added Chinese 5 spice and a lot of curry powder instead of curry paste because I don't have any back-scratch paste Also I will use lemon juice because I don't have lime. I should add together that I had no peanut oil and simply used canola. This was and then amazing I doubled the recipe and I'one thousand very happy that I did.

Not great, non terrible. The sauce came out much greasier than I expected, even though the beefiness was of good quality. I also don't think the flavors came together very well and information technology didn't have that warm, curry and coconut flavour I would accept expected. I would propose adding a low-cal cucumber salad or a raita (sp?) with it to compliment.

This is so delicious. My household is extremely excited for me to cook this once more. I ended up with three pounds of meat, so I adapted the recipe roughly, mostly by sight, to brand sure the meat was covered. I dumped slurry in at the terminate to thicken it up and nosotros put it over rice. It was amazing. Next time I might endeavour cooking the meat in corn starch every bit a previous commenter suggested and meet if that doesn't thicken it while it cooks so I don't have to add together the slurry at the end. I also cooked this on high since I got started late in the morning and didn't have 10 hours to wait for it to be finished on low.

I made this in our Ninja Foodi rather than the slow cooker. It worked like a charm and took nearly 1.v hours. Meat was so tender. Seasoning was delicious. Served with rice.
05/02/2020
I cooked in coconut oil every bit recommended by others. Since many stated information technology was bland I added 2 tsp of Korean chili powder. Turned out overnice and Spicy with a great coconut taste.
01/17/2018
I felt something was missing in the flavour. Maybe just needed more than of the Thai curry paste and I will try once more with red Thai chili peppers instead of jalepeno.
05/16/2020
Did not add peppers, but added cayenne pepper to give it simply the amount of heat nosotros prefer.
08/31/2017
I made this as directed (except forgot the basil because nosotros were starving and hurrying) and the whole family loved it: my ii-yr former through my picky 13-year old. In fact, anybody had seconds. (That merely happens with a scattering of favorite meals.) There may be a few tweaks I make next fourth dimension, only due to preference, but will definitely make once more! Would be easy to double or triple and however fit in slow cooker. Served on basmati (our preferred) with edamame on the side and everyone was satisfied.
08/26/2019
It was okay but quite tasteless and I even used more of the flavors than chosen for. Won't be making this once again
11/ten/2017
Fantastic recipe. Easy and succulent.
01/23/2020
Lots of potential merely bland and disappointing as is. Would try once more merely will double the curry paste, add together at least three extra hot peppers and some fish sauce for depth
12/27/2018
I used venison. I browned the meat with flour.
03/05/2019
AWESOME recipe!!! I added one-half a ruby-red onion, 1.5 green pepper, half a bunch of asparagus and 10 pocket-size potatoes. The last 20mins, I added 3/four cup of water mixed with two tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken the sauce.
02/19/2019
This is a keeper! I did modify some things because I know our taste, then please no nasty comments. I used Jump Onions insteads of diced onions, 3/four tsp. of Red Curry Paste instead of the 3 Tblsp., 2 Tblsp. brown sugar instead of the 1 Tblsp., and I used Thai Fresh Basil and used a lot less than the i/two cup.
08/06/2018
Actually good and not at all spicy. Everyone in my family unit loved it. I served information technology with watermelon
06/03/2020
Yum. Curry is such a great way to become your vegetables in. Had a sweetness potato and some broccoli slaw and fennel left over and then I tossed them in. Really good. Similar the oestrus/sweet philharmonic.
02/xvi/2019
Very tasty. Not at all spicy for my sense of taste. Minor changes - substituted for peanut oil. Future changes - volition thicken after cooking is completed. And will chop the spinach a bit earlier calculation it.
03/xvi/2019
An splendid, and easy way to set up Thai beef. The flavor is pretty truthful to the cuisine. I changed nothing about the recipe.
02/15/2019
Got away with love instead of dark-brown sugar, lemon juice instead of lime juice, pork instead of beefiness, riced cauliflower
02/17/2019
i follwed the instructions as written, except i used my Instant Pot pressure cooker. i sauteed the beefiness to brown information technology and and then tuckered information technology every bit directed and and so sauteed the garlic and onion in the pot. i put everything in the pot and cooked it on the "chili/stew" setting. When it beeped that it was done, i quick released the pressure and threw in the spinach to let it wilt. then i served it over brown rice. my husband loved it but it was then hot he asked me to cut back on the spiciness next time (he did have seconds though!). The beef was and then tender; i would make this again in the force per unit area cooker. It but took near 30 mins to cook.
06/12/2019
This turned out actually practiced! As information technology is, it is not spicy and was a hit with the kids. I made one pocket-sized aligning since I used a stainless steel pan for browning. After browning the meat and sautéing the onion and garlic and placing them in the slow cooker, I poured i loving cup beefiness broth (originally iii/4 c) into the pan to loosen up the chocolate-brown $.25. I poured this into the slow cooker. If y'all browned in a non-stick pan, information technology isn't actually necessary to do this.
03/26/2018
The smell emanating from my tiresome cooker all day was about to send us into a frenzy!! Information technology was all we could do to wait for dinner time, simply it was SO worth the look. The beefiness was so tender and the flavor wonderfully savory. This is a keeper!!
10/01/2019
This was succulent! I am saving this recipe and will definitely brand it again!
01/thirteen/2020
This was very tasty, simply didn't accept enough spices for a strong plenty Thai flavor. I'one thousand going to effort information technology again and up the spices.
05/07/2019
Proficient!
08/28/2017
This is ane of my favorite meals! Easy and delicious.
06/10/2017
This was Actually Proficient. Browned the meat in seasoned flour, added a bit more beefiness stock considering we like things saucy; but we'll definitely brand this again. Considering making it with a different protein, like pork.
02/23/2020
Fantastic recipe first time around, only modify i will make next time is adding a few veggies
03/ten/2019
Most delicious meal I have made in slow cooker. It was like shooting fish in a barrel to pull together. A family favorite.
12/eighteen/2018
I only used 1/2 jalapeño because of small kids and it was delish. Even husband who doesn't do spinach loved it.
02/18/2019
This recipe was astonishing. I but had craven and tofu on hand (de-boned a rotisserie chicken and fried two packages of tofu cut into triangles in olive oil) I inverse the beef goop to chicken and also added 3/4 cup of vegetable broth. I used a full jar of light-green curry paste and about 2 tablespoons of red curry powder (we like it spicy). Otherwise I followed the rest of the recipe as listed. It came out so flavorful and tender. Adjacent fourth dimension I'll attempt the beef. Thanks for a great recipe!!
02/22/2019
Great recipe, and easy to make. Mixed the sauce ingredients later the meat/onion/garlic cooking in a bowl to blend better. Only used one Jalapeno. My eleven yr old liked it with the jasmine rice. He's not a very picky eater only doesn't like spicy food. The family unit liked it, so it will exist going into the rotation. Cheers for putting this recipe online.

I made information technology using a chuck roast (browned in pan starting time so added to slow cooker) and and then just pulled it autonomously at the end. The rest was to educational activity. It was probably set in 4 hours, but a chuck roast in the slow cooker can become almost forever. I took out the roast, shredded meat and added back into boring cooker with spinach. Took all of 2 minutes for spinach to wilt/melt a bit and served. The added fatty from the roast may take been what made this 5 star (instead of lean stew meat) since the fat added flavor and thickened the sauce a bit.
03/24/2021
Delicious
01/02/2021
Made the recipe as is and constitute the dish to exist incredibly bland
08/02/2017
My 3 star rating is due to the face that I eliminated one-half of the ingredients I'm sure. Simply I wanted to review anyway. We don't similar spicy food so I left out the reddish curry paste and chile peppers. My husband doesn't like spinach then I eliminated that also forth with the coconut milk. However, the dish was nonetheless pretty good. My husband had seconds! I didn't care for it much only would try it once more adding more of my ain spices.
02/28/2020
I fabricated the recipe exactly because I had never used several of the ingredients; thought I would brand adjustments next fourth dimension if we liked it well enough. We loved information technology equally is. The only adjustment I made was to brown the meat and add it to the recipe about three hours earlier serving (hubby thinks meat tastes boiled if added from the outset). I'll definitely maker information technology again. The jasmine rice was perfect with it.
03/06/2020
Very good, corking taste. I substituted guajillo chili for jalapeno and used more garlic but that's merely my gustation. Came out even improve on the 2nd day after it had a gamble to sit. Had it with a friend with fresh basil leaves and lime and, after we ate it, seriously considered getting up and making it again for dinner.
04/09/2017
Nosotros loved this!!! I did as the previous annotate and browned the meat with a coating of seasoned flour. I also added 1 Tb. fish sauce and 2 Tb. fresh ginger. This added another dimension to the flavor. And then good over rice!!!
02/xvi/2020
I didn't utilize the jalepeno peppers and used reddish pepper flakes in their place. (Someone in my house doesn't like hot stuff.) It was delicious. The beef was very tender. It was a skilful leftover too!
05/17/2017
This was awesome!! I couldn't use ruddy back-scratch paste because of allergies, only used 3T of a reddish curry powder. And omitted the jalapeno bc my kids won't do spicy. I also floured the beef before Browning and the sauce thickened up nicely. But took nigh iii hours in my slow cooker, then I added a niggling more broth to keep information technology from getting too thick.
04/14/2018
We absolutely loved this dish. The only modify I would brand is maybe add another Tbsp of the red curry paste.
02/11/2018
I fabricated this yesterday and it turned out TERRIFIC. I was short on time, and so cooked on high for 2 hours then turned it to depression and it delivered in half dozen hours equally promised! It was not besides spicy - Just perfect. Not sure why peanut oil was used, which I fabricated a special trip to become. I used lite kokosnoot milk and likewise put in 2 additional TBSP brown saccharide. I volition definitely make this over again.
07/21/2020
made this per recipe and while tender, information technology lacked the spice level our family likes in Thai curries. will try next time with 4 tbsp crimson curry paste, coconut cream instead of coconut milk and ii tbs fish sauce.
03/31/2021
i added a splash of fish oil when i added the back-scratch paste/lime etc. i also added table salt when i sautéed the onions and garlic in bacon fat. i cooked this dish in a Dutch Oven on the deadening cooker setting in the oven. And so, I used the aforementioned dish that I had seared the beefiness. I liked that I had the frond from the searing and juices. This was a actually delicious curry and nosotros will exist making it again. Nosotros had it over cauliflower rice and sauteed zucchini but it would yummy over rice or fifty-fifty some pasta .... Also, my hubby who enjoys very flavourful and spicey food. This was not bland at all, I just added the fish oil for some umami, and seasoned the beefiness liberally. Really simple dish with yummy flavour.
01/05/2018
I used Light coconut milk because that's what I had but I call up regular coconut milk might have made this sense of taste better to me.
07/11/2017
This was tasty....and not quite as intensely flavorful equally I hoped it would exist. Maybe my hopes were too loftier...merely it was not spicy at all.
06/08/2019
This was succulent! I did add a little more than ruby curry (merely based on other reviewers' suggestions about punching up the flavor), but this dish was already fantastic. Yum!
05/01/2020
This was a very tasty meal. The meat was so tender and the flavours were spicy but non also and hot just not too much just a very squeamish blend of flavour and texture. I did thicken the dish a petty with corn starch only because my hubby prefers a petty thicker sauce over rice. Non a fan of rice. I would definitely make this once more. I did make my own red curry paste considering I didn't have any and that was also a squeamish surprise. The merely thing I didn't have on hand was the shrimp paste. Will look for that when I can go out to a shop.
02/23/2019
Great meal. Easy to make. I added some Szechwan sauce to spice it up
02/21/2019
Delicious! Easy to follow recipe, easy to make. It was very good - will definitely make again!
